Wiring harness night mare
Hey guys Im having a problem find the negative side for my battery.A while back and its been a long while back I found to black wires with connections on them that either looked like they would fit the battery or body ground wires. The info i got at the time is they were body ground wires. So yesterday I put the battery in and i found the poistive terminal ok but I cant find anything that resembles the negative battery terminal.Im wondering if I have it bolted on the back of my engine block.Anyway someone can take a pic of the wiring harness so I can find the negitive battery terminals?I also found a small black wire thats been cut and in the front of the engine and have no idea what it is or where it goes.Any help greatly appreciated.
PS I read through 10 pages in the electrical and lighting section looking for help but notta.

As far as I know I only have 2 unless the two others I found a while back that bolted to the back of the engine are in the wrong place.warthogdriver would you mind taking a pic of what you got? Thanks
Sorry I cant tell much by the pics but if the ground is bolted to the battery to the frame its a ground right? My wiring harness is such a mess I cant tell heads or tails of it.I have a diagram I down loaded so it should help.I`ll see if I can get some pics and uploaded tomorrow. Also in last post I mis spoke. The black wire coming from the core support I fastened it to the smaller black wire coming from the new ground cable I bought.

yes, in the battery pic it shows three wires on the neg connection.
thickest goes to the block, the two small ones go to the frame and one to the core support.
yes, the engine must be grounded. in my stang the block is just grounded directly to the frame by a grounding strap. as long as you have the ground with a good connection i dont think it matters where as long as its made.
