i'e. Tires / TYRES check / CHEQUE & the list goes on..

At the end of the day everyone knows what it is.

Pity I couldn't have got in but next year for sure!
so neither can you "upside down guys" .

"check" is for "check, i already loaded that into the truck" used for telling the wife (for the third time) that yes what-ever-the-hell she's rambling on about has been in there for the last half hour!

"cheque" is for "yes, the cheque is in the mail". but we all know that nobody has ever actually had a cheque in the mail when saying this to the other person on the phone!

and that concludes our English lesson for the day boys & girls.

on Calendar related note, i went and ordered a few of them last night. so, for any of the regular posting Canadian members who would like one, first come first serve.

have a great day all.

Kiwi...we Canadians spell the monetary kind of Cheque with que as well. Check means you checked into something, or a check mark.
Chris, let me know when you get them and how much you will want for one. Depending on price I'll get one from you.

And to clear things up. I was never bashing or flaming Craig. I do appreciate the work he put into this, and I think it was a great idea that he started and came through on. My problem was in the way this whole thing came to light. The entire process is still in the original calendar thread if you'd like to read through it to see everything that happened. I won't cover all of it, but let's just say it was extremely frustrating at times. In all of my posts (this thread and last) I tried to be helpful to give Craig very helpful and organizational comments, but they were consistently ignored time and time again. I will not take back and of my posts nor will I edit them. I stand behind everything that was said as I don't feel anything I said was out of line or inappropriate. If anyone would like to know more about it or has anything to say, they can PM myself and I will go into greater detail.

All in all, I am impressed with the calendar. I think the design of it looks great (I have said this before) despite the spelling mistake. If they aren't too expensive by the time they reach Chris I will hopefully pick one up since it's pretty cool my truck is in a calendar.

Excuse the anger, but when people cut someone else down it drives me
nuts.
Go read the original thread and you'll understand why Alex and I are frustrated. This is one of those "Do your homework before you form an opinion based on what you see by jumping in at the end of a conversation." situations.

On MANY occasions helpful suggestions were handed out to Craig, and for some reason they were disregarded.

I have no issues with the professional look and great work, and the TIME Craig put into the Calendar, but there was a complete and utter communication breakdown that resulted in member's names being spelt wrong among other things. Along with other members (IE. CBR995) being left out entirely because an e-mail server went down. The only reason my truck ended up in there was because I had Craig's g-mail accout instead of his snedekerdesigns.com account.

The lack of Canadian holidays sort of points to a disregard to the few Canadians that are still active... In Craigs shoes, I most likely would have remembered my neighbour's holidays. However, as rushed as he was I may have forgotten them as he did. (were Kiwi holidays an option?? lol )

If you have ANY problems at all, PM me or Alex and we'll be happy to fill you in with THE ENTIRE timeline of how this happened.

People flaming others annoys you? Well people forming UNIFORMED opinions annoys me more.

Rant over, I don't regret ANYTHING I said, since Craig joined he's been advised to read all of the posts in a thread before jumping in on countless occasions, Formulate your own opinion as to whether or not he did in this case when you read the CalendAr thread in the General Chat section.

Did I put enough emphasis on the fact I like the look of the Calendar, Craig did beautiful work as usual but for my own reasons I havn't decided if I'll be buying one out of the bulk from Chris.

wow i'm glad i said nothing to fire up either of you guys(or any one for that matter)..not that i would have i'm one of those "i dont care" kinda ppl..there was a bit of confusion and indiference in communication though i agree, maybe some one should have gotten his ph#? easiest way to communicate indefinitely *just a thought though* its done...i dont know why its still being brought up..ok its not perfect...its the effort that counts and the thought that counts though..isn't it? maybe next year we can try for a 2 year calandar so it'll most likely includ EVERY one...(active) THAT i can jusfity paying 20-35$s for

just my 2 cents though..not trying to offend or peeve people off not by a long shot..just trying to keep the peace..when i move home i'd rather not look at people i've met through here and think to my self "oh i remember how he said this and they said that...stupid jerks i dont like them"..nawh i'd think "oh man i remember when he said that...it was sooo funny..and they did that...omg HILARIOUS!!"

I have no problem with Craig's work, I'm befuddled, not even frustrated, just in disbelief how the entire communication thing just failed hardcore lmao.

We did get a beautiful outcome, and that's not the issue. The Calendar communication was just the straw that broke the camel's back for Alex and I though I think... Craig for some reason has difficulty going back and reading all of the posts to get himself in the loop, and we've suggested he do so many times, since this summer when he joined actually.

Again though, the Calendar did turn out beautifully and I agree the cover just gets flipped up (which is a bit of a shame GeorgesBlazah's blazah won't be displayed for an entire month, but the remote controlled truck look makes for a great cover.)

I hope this doesn't seem like I'm jumping on your back... I really don't want it too I'm just explaining my point here.

Another thing is, have you ever tried helping someone who says they want your help but they don't really want your advice after all? That's the feeling I had for most of this project and I have an inkling that Alex is the same way, don't let me speak for him though.

Whether Craig was doing this knowingly or not it, because I can't really say whether or not he did, it does produce frustration among those offering said help rather efficiently. I guess you just have to understand EXACTLY what went down to understand the ... "TONE?"... that was used in my posts... if I sounded like a tool, I'm sorry for that folks but the way I was feeling yesterday (exam stress probably doesn't help to begin with), it really could have been much worse.

Well, now that our rebuttal is posted we can get back on topic .
I just have to say first that I'm in 100% agreeance with everything Pat said, and his point of views are the exact same as mine. No matter how many times I've tried to help Craig (with this calendar, with the painting of mine/his rims, with removing his bumper trim...yes this started a LONG time ago, this didn't just come about now) he continues to ignore my posts, suggestions and help, so I'm beyond the point of frustration. With that said, I'm not "out to get him" or interested in anyway of flaming him or making his life on this forum hell. I do feel that Craig; you are a valuable (and valued) member of this community and you have become part of the regular crowd which is nice. Don't let this whole thing with the spelling error or the calendar as a whole get you down. You just have to learn to slow down and read through everything before jumping or replying. The multi-quote feature is a great way to do this as you can reply to multiple posts at once in detail. Thanks again for taking charge of this calendar

On topic:
Craig..do you get to see how many of these get sold? I'm curious to see the totals..

Haha I won't Takes much more then all this to get me down.

Well that's the problem. I've seen this happen several times on my last calender thread: I make a post, and sit in the post editor while I gather my details. Once I was in the post editor for like 5 minutes. I post, and if someone else posted at the same time / before, it doesn't show that until I come to the forums later, normally an hour or so. So I didn't see that post for an hour, and it seems like I ignored it but I didn't even see it! No ones fault except this forum software (other forum softwares inform you when there have been posts while you were posting).

I like all the advice I can get so sorry if at any time it seemed like I wasn't interested. I try to read everything, and the email downage was just bad.

Another thing is, have you ever tried helping someone who says they want your help but they don't really want your advice after all?
We can see about that, or even a 18 month one.

Sisk: I should get emails telling me when I get an order but so far I have not. (yes, my email works ) so Zazzle.com might be a little bit slow, or they send the email when they ship the product, I am not sure. O_o
