Default 94 Lincoln for FREE

I am a long time GM nut,but have enjoyed several Ford products over the years:the full size sedans and wagons:Fox Chassais,from87 to 92 and have loved these cars! Have an opportunity to pick up a 94 Lincoln Town w/ only 58K FOR FREE! Yes,Issues exist:windows, fuel delivery, clearcoat peel:but its free and totally road worthy! Should I snag it? New brakes and tires too!I think my wife will murder me if I drive this into the yard, but the 97 Jimmy is getting a bit long in the tooth! It runs great but has all the issues they do at 193K! Trouble is the Jimmy looks like new and the Lincoln looks old!

Personally, I wouldn't take it just to sell it for scrap. If it's a friend with the ride, and you scrap it, one or both you will feel bad about the deal. How hard would it be to fix all the little issues? If you could fix it get it back on the road that would be great though.

My friends if are to the point of giving it away wouldn't care if I drove it off a cliff, they just want it out the yard and nobody willing to buy it. I pick up free cars all the time and scrap them.

I would see what it would take to fix it and either use it as a beater or a spare car or something.

It is FAR from a beater! It has the window and fuel relay issues. I think I am going to put it in my stable! Was driven to my house for my inspection and I see no issues to prevent it being state inspected. Only 58K! Those 4.6 motors are good, and this unit doesn't seem to have as many electrical issues as the same era GM units have! I have had many Ford products in the past with no unpleasant issues! I'm gonna take it and work on it! It will make those 500 mile trips to my sisters in SC a lot more pleasant than in the Jimmy!
