Default American autos

Hey guys, so I was wondering something. I constantly hear about how much better the japanese auto makers are and how american autos makers don't do anything right. What do you guys think? Also people keep saying that GM and Ford and Chylser are going downhill fast. Do you guys think they will be going out of business like everyone keeps saying they are? Personally I dont think GM will ever go out of business and I believe the same for Ford. I think they may possibly cut their cars that don't sell, but whether anyone likes it or not, people will always need trucks and thats what they do best.

I'm all about GMs. If I had to buy a new car it would be a Honda, or a truck would be a Toyota. See if they get a bailout or not. Have you seen the prices on their stocks, not that high from what I hear.

Wow, don't even get me started on this whole bail-out business. If I owned a business and it was having financial problems, do you think the government would bail me out?

The 3 big car companies (GM, Ford and Chrysler) just flew in their amazing private jets to Washington DC to ask for a bail out or else they would probably close their doors. One of them was asked if the $25,000,000 a year he makes was too much. He didn't think so. [&:]

Do you realize if he made only 1% of that a year, he would be making $250,000?! Not a bad chunk of change. But he makes 100 times that and then has the audacity to ask for financial help. [:@]

Absolutely ridiculous.

Staying in business is not a right, it is a privilege. And with that privilege comes responsibilities...both to your employees and your customers.

My thoughts are were Americans we should buy American, I also belong to a , Local #676 Fire Sprinkler Fitters. But, As I argue with my co-workers, our cars suck compared to forgien in my opinion, There's always something going wrong with them, intake gaskets, anti-freeze issues, heater core, door hinges, I mean come on guys we can't get that right? But, we launch space shuttles w/o troubles, It's cheap garbage ! My 4 Runner is by far the very best vehichle I've ever owned- totally trouble free, I also have 2 Bmw's which are made with very high quality standards. It's know wonder the big 3 are in trouble, yet they could put that hefty price tag on them. In 89 I ordered a k1500 Blk/Blk totally loaded every available option- in 2 yrs the paint peeled off it and it was pampered and garaged always. THEY NEED A PLAN.
