Default Anyone suggest - gun cleaning kit

Can anyone suggest me a good gun cleaning kit? Need to clean my newly found bolt action .22 rifle as it has been sitting in my basement for a decade or more gathering dust. What does everyone use? Also Rem oil or something else?

I use breakfree CLP. It stands for, cleaner, lubricat and protectant. I would recommend a hoppes bore snake. Its a length of cord with a metal brush on the end and a weight. Its a one step cleaner, put some cleaner in the barrel, drop the weight threw and pull the cord. The metal brush scrubs it and the rest of the cord cleans up the residue. As a gun dealer I have a few tips and tricks for cleaning up rust and refinishing. PM me if you need more info, enjoy!

How bad of shape is it in? Guessing you talking about a rifle and not a pistol.

Bore snakes are great but if its been sitting and heavily rusted in the bore its only gonna ruin it. They are designed for guns that are taken care of not restoring one sitting in a basement for years. I like lucas gun oil, use it on everything from hinges, knives, to all my guns.
