Well I decided to start this up for You Hosers out there like myself, I ain't Canadian Eh, but I love hockey. So the new Season is starting up, lets get some discussion on teams and what you guys all think, as well as anybody who plays the game!

I play backup for the Long Beach Bombers Junior A team here in California, I don't have any favorite Teams, I just enjoy the game, but my inspirations are Marty Brodeur, Ray Emery, and Jonathan Quick.

I really never played ice hockey but I played alot of street roller hockey when I was younger. My oldest son plays in a deck hockey league which looks pretty cool. Maybe someday if I have a job that does not require weekends and nights I may look into doing something like that. I posted this before but here it is again, I live on Long Island but hate the Islanders.

Being a Brodeur fan, I am not fond of him. LOL

SENS!!!! Actually I dont pay that much attention to Hockey. But I believe you should always support the home team.
I always wanted to get into playing though. Always played goalie in school sports(except soccer). Was really good at it, but never pursued it. Now in Soccer I had several competitive teams try get me playin for them at one point.

I moved out here from the Brooklyn as a kid and was already a Rangers fan and got abused by all the Islander fans because it was the years that they won the cup year after year. Now it is like there are more Rangers fan out here because the Islanders suck and where they play is a dump. However it does get interesting since my 11 year old is an Islanders fan and my 8 year old is a Rangers fan like me. And the thing about Avery is I like him, I like how he plays and how he will start with you or even worse as seen a few time this past season after he grew up a bit he would ignor you and that pissed the other teams off.

Haha sounds like fun. But try growing up in a house with a Colorado fan, Detroit, Ducks, and New Jeresy. HA, we had some interesting nights!

I'm definitely not the majority out here. Everyone in Canada has their favorite Canadian team, most of which around here are the Flames. The Oiler fans are lying low at the moment. There are also a ton of Leaf fans, for reasons I don't understand.

Me being a Devils fan is pretty far off everyone else. My dad is a Caps fan (Loooong before Ovechkin). So we are certainly abnormalities around here.

I played hockey for 10 years in my hometown. Never went anywhere with it though. I still love to play, I go outside and pick up a stick and the good ole orange ball and shoot it around still. I'm 21 and there aren't any leagues for me now so I may just go play old-timers with my pops this year.

As for NHL teams. I have been a Boston Bruins fan forever. I have faith that some day the Hometown LEAFS will get close to the cup but they def. aren't my favorite team. Bruins always seem to have a well balanced, all around team. Sometimes they just can't keep it together to get the W.
