Is it too soon? Hmmm there's a time limit to it? So maybe 3 weeks, 6 months, 2 years & then it's ok?!
Sorry but I don't see anything humorous about all those people injured & killed. There is never a time when it'll be "it's been so long we can joke about it now" IMO.
WTC... been how many years? Joke about that or the tsunami that wiped out how many 1000 people.
Sure 1000's died there but if it's one or one thousand that's murdered/killed there's nothing to laugh at.
Imagine how their families & friends are dealing with it now.
I think this thread should be closed out of respect for the lives lost.

All ya had to do was ask...
"RIP my Japanese friend, So Kin Vet"
At least God loves Japan.
He never forgets to give them a big wave.
BBC NEWS: Kenya offer condolences to Japan.
Trust the Africans to get friendly when water is involved.
What detergent won't be selling in Japan anytime soon?
TIDE
Was it tragic, yes. Do people use humor to deal with tragic events, yes. When/if something happens to me I hope people remember me with a smile and laugh not sit around forever pouting and crying. Life is too short to live like that.

Now you're just being an ***. Seriously!
I didn't have to ask, the OP did
& I offered my opinion.
I'm not pouting or crying, just saying out of respect for that horrible event people shouldn't publicly make fun or jokes about it. IMO
Across North America when Katrina struck, radio stations stopped playing The Tragically Hip - New Orleans is Sinking. They did that because playing it was in bad taste & ill respect for the people trying to live through what happened & mourn the lost.
I didn't have to ask, the OP did
so no one has an opinion?

Katrina jokes, The media alone started those
FEMA stands for "Federal Employee Missing Alert
"Yesterday President Bush made his fifth visit to the area that received the most damage from Hurricane Katrina. In other words, the White House." --Conan O'Brien
"Did you see the speech? President Bush spoke from Jackson Square in New Orleans. It wasn't his first choice for a backdrop, but the water wasn't quite deep enough for the aircraft carrier." --Bill Maher
"The president said much of the aid is going towards job training. And when they heard that, the people of New Orleans rose as one and said, 'Can we start with you?'" --Bill Maher
"It's interesting, some analysts said the most striking thing about President Bush's speech last night was the fact that he didn't name someone to be in charge of the reconstruction. See, if Bush was smart, put Clinton in charge. Think about it. I mean if you want women flashing their breasts by Mardi Gras, Clinton is the guy to do it." --Jay Leno
Tons more from us that live down here that delt with all the wash outs from it. My neighbors now were from down there and some of the best jokes I've heard about it came from them.
Let's not forget everybodys fav looter
Let's request a hard one to find jokes about
