Default Black Friday!?!?

Was anyone crazy enough to go and what did you get?

I understand the great savings but is it really worth the hassle?
I saw on the news this girl took off work a couple days to wait in line for those
door buster tickets for the tvs (i beleive it was bestbuy) and i thought to
myself did you really just waste ur vakay time on this or possibly didnt even
get paid for those days off to save like $200-$300?? wow!

I for one was possibly going to try it this year cuz i wanted a tv,but the last
week ive been checking for online deals better,i knew they wouldn't be as good
as in store BF but i didnt want to go through the hassle of POSSIBLY getting
a great deal, well anyways walmart.com had black friday deals ONLINE ONLY
early on thanksgiving, and i scooped me up a tv for a real good price.
It was a Element 46in 1080p 60hz lcd for $329 (reg $529), not the best tv on
the market but i dont have much money and for the price it seemed like a
great deal, also had great reviews 4.2 stars out of 5 based on 33 reviews

I did not take off work, or wait in line, I went later when there was still deals, Found a 32" Philips HDTV for 229, There were none left on the showroom floor at target. So I bet people thought they were all gone, simply asked an employee if there was any in the back, There was 6. Saved over 100 on the tv.

Yesterday was the first time in 9 years I did not have to work at Best Buy on Black Friday. I stayed went to my job at 8am and came home at 5pm and enjoyed every second of not having to deal w/ stupid people.

i did for the first time ever on friday. went to hhgregg cause they had 73 inch tvs for 799. so i figured i would drive by at like 5 and if there was no line i would get in line. there was only like 4 people there so yep i waited, so boring, then it started raining.

they actually did it kind of cool. they randomly came out and asked us in order what we were there for then gave us a voucher for the item so basically when the doors opened i walked right for the cashier and was the first person out of there. no beatings or fighting took place that i seen

so for that instance waiting in line for 5 hours to save a few hundred dollars yeah was worth it

I went with the mad mob when walmart opened at midnight, was in line maybe 1-1/2hrs and got a small tv for $78, some memory cards for the camera, and some pants for christmas gifts... total savings about $100, well worth my 9 minutes in the store and the mad mob. Now i have to figure out how i'm going to get power and signal where the tv will go....

I had a gig on Friday evening so I stayed home as long as humanly possible before venturing out. I got to stay home and watch college football which was far more enjoyable than shopping.
