Default Coat hanger method to unlock 89 chevy blazer s10?

Yeah yeah so i locked my keys in my car for the first time in my life last night...awesome...does the wire hanger method work for this type of lock?...its the side to side auto lock...i have a gut feeling it only works for the old up and down locks but im just hoping i guess :/

Ive used a coat hanger to open up/down, push button, lever and everything else. The problem is getting the coat hanger past the seals and still being able to manipulate it. Also, not scratching the paint off the edge of the door!

first of you need a wedge. wooden or plastic. don't have one? 2 screw drivers. okay now you need someone or something to hold those 2 screw drivers back. if you have a wedge gently push in between the door and the seal. you should get a gap big enough to get a coat hangar down. work your way down and push the electric unlock button. then grab your keys and shut your alarm off. on a car i use to have i had side to side and it worked. but i had a proffessional lock picking kit.

I used a piece of an old hockey stick to make a wedge, sanded it down nice, and a long section of 1/4" metal from the frame of a baby bouncer hammock thing that I found in the garage. Luckily, it had a nice hook at the end. shoved in my wedge of doom and wrestled with my hook for a while. It was fun... I was rolling down the streets of southern cali soon after.

I used to pry the door and get something long and skinny and hit the rear window button. Its more of a straight shot
