Just press Print Screen then go into Paint and Ctrl+V to paste. it should paste and then you can save it in there. Seems odd it wouldn't work. it works fine for me on XP at the office and also with Vista at home.

printkey2000 is a wonderful tool (google "printkey510ef.zip" and you'll find it)!

If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, the built in snipping tool also does a good job of creating desktop screen shots.

There's a built in "snipping" tool in Vista?

Sure is. I found it when printkey2000 didn't work properly under Vista before I installed 7 on my desktop.

From anywhere, in Vista, Ctrl+Alt+P will open Snipping Tool. I haven't tried that in 7 yet though so I cannot confirm that it works with 7.
