Do you recycle your auto parts?

What did I recylce for $190 bucks.
2- 4.3L engines, well 1 1/2, the second was only hte block.
1 hot water tank,
1- 40 year old stove, heavy sucker,
1- Dodge Ram rear axle,
about 2 dozen pairs of rotors,
1- aluminum riding mower engine,
4 bags oc crushed aluminum cans,
some copper pipe and wire from my basement remodle project.
Oh and one Cat converter.
Really helps to seperate out hte aluminum. The aluminum brought me $100 alone.
The engine, axles, rotors, stove, tank was $75.

yeah, i usually make a few trips a year.
i'm always dragging home scrap aluminum/copper. especially the cast & extruded aluminum.
any batteries from vehicles i scrap/part out.
a few times i've ended up with enough stuff from neighbours/friends to make it worth while too. sometimes i collect stuff for too long. case in point, when my Jimmy had to go, it ended up weighing just over 7200 lbs! (barely had room to turn the steering wheel, to load it on the trailer).
this Spring, i got $393 (combined) for a '93 Exploder that i drove to the recyclers-and kept the four, almost BN tires, that were on it. i also dropped off 78 lbs of extruded aluminum & 103 lbs of cast aluminum (mostly rims).
see, it does pay to recycle!
