Thumbs down Don't Use PayPal

DON'T USE PAYPAL!!!!
PayPal decided they would freeze over 2 grand of mine. There response, from a direct email quote "If you would like to obtain copies of the information we reviewed in
deciding to place a limitation on your account, you will need to obtain
a court order or subpoena."

Their sister companies, which I will never use again can be found: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...itions_by_eBay

I've never had a problem with them. Surely they must have given a reason for freezing the account.

yea I never have money in my paypal, if i buy something on paypal it just takes out of my checking, and I always deposit any profits of paypal in my checking. I use my checking account a lot more than paypal so it makes sense

How about give us the background story on why PayPal is so evil that it froze your account? To my knowledge, that only happens when one doesn't follow through on whatever kind of transaction they had entered into with another individual/company/etc.

I agree, Paypal, or any other money type business won't do anything unless its warranted.

On another note. Did you verify that it was indeed a TRUE Paypal email? Anytime you get an email from Paypal, NEVER CLICK ON THE LINKS IN THE EMAIL. Simply goto Paypals website directly and find messages via the website.

Print the email, and goto your local police station. They should be able to help you out as far as getting documentation.

I am pretty sure that with Paypal you must be verified to use more than $xxxxx amount and it could be due to that???
