ok so many of you know i am an eagle scout and i am real big into the outdoors
what you might not know is that my biggest dream is exploring the most remote locations on earth
i look at the pictures that make most people go WOW, but i want to be there in the picture
so randomly on facebook i clicked on a recommended page to a place called NOLS, where you can actually get college credit exploring the wilderness
one day i hope to see some amazing sights, sights that take your breath away and make you wonder how nature can create something like what you are seeing
i just thought it was awesome and someone might find it interesting or helpful somehow

Cool stuff. Im a cub scout pack leader up here in Canada. Go World scouting! Really enjoy teaching the youth, and since I cant have my own, its the next best thing. Maybe even better cause parents come pick them up after the mettings and camps are done! Lotsa fun and I wouldnt trade it for anything.

 

ive been in it since i was 5, and im almost 17 now so its been a while
its not as fun as it used to be, our troop has grown from the original 5, to over 30 scouts
we used to have tons of fun when it was just the 5 of us
more trips because it didnt cost as much
we used to do some really crazy stuff, but now since we are of age, we can do it again
actually the 5 of us are going to the blue ridge scout reservation in virginia in july
but yea scouting is fun, gives you tons of opportunities, leadership expierience and lets you see parts of the world people go their whole lifes without seeing

 

Eagle Scout, eh?
I love Scouting. I was a Cub Scout since I was 5, and unfortunately I didn't motivate myself to become Eagle, but I made it to Star.
Right now I'm an Assistant Scoutmaster. Me and a couple other friends I've grown up with in Scouts all decided to become AS's.

Our troop used to have over 50 regular members, but it has dwindled to about 26. It's really disheartening that kids become so uninterested in it.

Unfortunately I can't go camping since I have to work Saturdays but I still enjoy being apart of the Boy Scouts of America.

 

Seems pretty cool, I was a scout also but never made it to eagle I quit the year my dad passed was a bad year.

 

yea well technically im life right now, but will hopefully have eagle done by the next couple months
neat to see that others on here are in scouts too
