You can get a bluetooth adaptor off Amazon or eBay. I think there's a link on the first page when I asked (my first page, I run max posts per page). Then you just plug it into the ODBII port, pair via bluetooth with your phone and run the Torque app. There's a free version and a paid version that it like 5 bucks. Figure 30-40 bucks and you have a diagnostic tool that you can read live data with.

I'm really tempted to get the Hill Climb racer..... but my battery life already sucks!!!!!!

I doesn't use a cable. It's an ELM327 Bluetooth adapter you are looking for. Less than $20 on eBay or Amazon. Orange label is the one you want I hear.

I like mine best for making calls and receiving them. Voice mail is an added bonus!

Here is what mine looks like for reference. Anything else is a knock-off and may not function properly due to poor design. The orange ones had connection issues for some people, that's why I tell people to stay with the blue edition, the one I have. It is made by "BAFX." It comes with a receiver you plug into your OBD-II port, an instruction card, and a cd. You don't necessarily need to use the cd. Just plug the receiver into the OBD port and follow the instructions on the card to get it set up. Basically, download Torque Pro or Torque Free for your Android phone and enable bluetooth. On your phone, go into bluetooth settings and pair your phone with the receiver plugged into the OBD port by typing in the password on the instruction card. Once paired, it'll have the bluetooth connection symbol on the notification bar on your phone and you will also see the receiver's lights will start flashing indicating the transfer of data. Whoila! You're now good to go!

*NOTE* Torque Free doesn't have the ability for more advanced functionality like checking your CEL. In order to enable this functionality, you MUST buy Torque Pro. It's around $5.
