The song is about the video game Black Ops. Michael Jagger and Jimi Hendrix wrote the song to be exclusively used for the promotion of Black Ops. Just a shot away is in reference to the "One in the Chamber Mode", and Gimme Shelter is about taking cover in Team Death Match.
