i just went to get in my silverado an it wont crank or anything but my battery is good an has power but it doesnt make a cliking noise or anything when i turn key to start, having troubles figuring out what is wrong no codes are pulling or anything if anyone know of anything please let me know really need my truck like 3 days ago badly. so if anyone knows let me know ASAP please an thank you

 

See if you have power to the starter solenoid.

 

i can hear it engage my alternater is two months old my fuel pump kicks in

 

you can hear the starter engage? Give me more details ... Do you hear a CLICK CLICK sound?

 

more like just one click then like a wine noise i guesse you would say

 

i tried tappin on the starter an everything. i did have it happen once an some guy jumped me an put one of the prongs on the jumper cables on my alternater but i cant remember what color he used to try that

 

crawl under the truck and tap the starter with an hammer. NOT HARD gently.... and let someone crank the motor after .

If still no crank try again. Report back with your results

see the more details you give me the better.... THE Guy grounded his truck to your alternator. ITs a grounding trick nothing special.

Hook an other truck/car to your truck and try to start it. IF your truck starts ID get the battery tested and we can go from there.

 

well i literally just put a brand new battery in yesterday cause i thought thats what it was but nothing. but just went out to try the starter thing an this time it didnt make a noise that mean its a bad starter?
