How many miles?
How many miles do you have on your Blazer? How many miles can I realistically expect to get from mine. I know this is subjective. I have a well maintained 1998 GMC Jimmy (4.3, AT) 4WD). It currently has 118k miles and was a one-owner vehicle. The previous owner purchased it new and drove it about 50 hiway miles (one-way) per day. Because I work at an automotive dealership, I can drive their vehicle for free. I have put about 3K miles on my Jimmy since I purchased it. Both front hubs have been replaced, it has been tuned up, and the lower ball joints replaced. I would like to think it would make 200K without any major repairs.

never know. my 93 has 205,000 on it. and runs great.
when i was working on limos a few years back. we had a 97 lincoln town car reach 610,000 miles. and it was very neglected, obviously cause it was never there.

ive got around 300k on mine and the biggest problem I have had with it was the ignition module, other problems would include 3 cracked radiators (cheap plastic tanks) and a leaking heater core. other then that nothing

I'm pretty convinced that mine will last as long as I take care of it. My '03 is at 80k miles, still original everything. My only gremlin is my fuel pump. I feel that the 2nd gens, even though they have their known issues (remote oil lines, I'm looking at you!!) if you treat them correctly, the 4.3L is a good solid motor. Its fairly easy to work on, parts are fairly cheap.
