Default HP Pavillion--Crapped Out!

Sucks for me. Absolutey had to have computer before the weekend was out or the guys won't get paid next week. So after a little research it was either an ASUS or a Toshiba. I really wanted a dedicated video card but just a wee bit too expensive for a laptop that gets beat up and moved around in and out of a construction office. So we roll the dice with a Toshiba.

HP's are garbage. I had the same thing happen to me with my HP Pavilion. Needless to say I will NEVER buy another HP laptop. They are junk. I had nothing but problems with that laptop from day 1.
I have a Dell Studio 15 right now. I haven't had any problems with it and love it. I know a lot of people are against Dell though, but I've owned 2 of them and never had a problem with either. Toshiba make great laptops though so I'd recommend them too. Lenovo is commercial grade, so you can't go wrong with them.

I know about terrible HPs. I had a nice Compaq I bought in January '08, the wifi card crapped out 12 months later, and the Hard Drive crapped out (Hitachi HD, those suck) last March.

Satellite A505.
Pretty fast and doesn't seem to get too warm. Decent graphics card and RAM which should help run 'CAD. We shall see.
