So my weedeater last year locked up. i went to the flea market this morning and a man had a featherlite weedeater for $10 bucks. He said he went to use it and it wouldnt start. He had a bunch of tools so I removed the plug and checked for spark. It had it. So i bought it. Took it home and tore apart the carb. Cleaned it and it started right up after 20 min of trying to figure out why it wouldnt suck gas. I had the damn fuel lines backwards. Anyways it runs great.
If you dont know much about mechanical work PLEASE start getting into it. It saves you TONS of money.
Im drunk, that is all. thanks BF

But heck the money you save on repairs gets spent on booze, so really there isn't any savings.
That reminds me of my friend that would drive 150 round trip for a free lunch & gamble $50 so the only one that got the free lunch was me when I went with him.

I bought a 1000 watt Honda Generator awhile back it was an older one but looked brand new for $40. I had to clean up the fuel system & make a new carb gasket & it runs like brand new. I have no idea what a new Honda Gen costs but I'm pretty sure $40 won't get it bought.
So I can appreciate those good deals.

Yea, The last time I tried starting it it started on one pull. Something I found out without the air cleaner hooked up complete you will pull until you blue. I hooked up the air cleaner & one pull & it started. Both cold & hot.

small engines are usually easy like that. someone gave me a rider mower, looks like its been sitting for 10 years. cleaned all the goo out of the carb, replaced a bad linkage, cleaned spark plug and runs like new with some new gas. just cut the grass with it a hour ago. if you were to bring something in like that i could imgine it being upwards of $200.
ive never bought my car to a mechanic in my life, except a dealer for warranty work.
