Default Ignition problems

I have a 96 S10 Blazer and I had to pull the dash out to replace the heater core. After putting it all back together, I put the key in the ignition, the key would turn to crank and back to the run position but will not go completely to the off position, therefore the key would not come out...any suggestions as to what might have happened to cause this?
