Thumbs up LMCTruck

Has anyone ever actually called LMCtruck? I can't believe how pleasant they are to deal with! lol.

I called for a new airdam because the OEM one I bought (and apparently over payed for) that I had to PAINT looks like absolute horse hockey after one winter.

So I figure what the hell, 29.95 for a new air dam, black plastic, shipped by UPS, yeah there's brokerage but it'll still be cheaper than the 260 I payed for my air dam. I called to inquire about brokerage and I was told that if I give my shipping address blah blah blah they'll call me with shipping quotes, and after getting the shipping quotes that's when I decide to buy or not. Most companies it's "Give us your money, oh yeah brokerage is such and such, you owe us now"...

I will order from again!

I have always had good luck with LMCTruck. I haven't ordered any exterior sheetmetal from them though which I have heard horror stories about mainly because of how cheaply made things are.

So that air deflector I'm buying may not necesarily be OEM quality?

I know their sheetmetal is on the thin side. I have had good luck with their doors seals, etc, but haven't bought anything like an air dam.

Thabnks, I'll see how much brokerage is first, then I'll decide if I'm buying one from the, or just painting the current one I have (again). If it comes out to less than 260 bucks CAD (which I fully expect it too) I'll be ordering it.

I purchased side mirrors that I was not very happy with. The chrome plating was not up to OEM standards and the mounting screws rusted very quickly. However, I was happy with the rear tail lights that I purchased. I would rather find OEM items either NOS on ebay, or from a dealer if the price is not too bad or for a lot of misc. parts the junkyard. I find that for most items OEM is better. I ended up getting mirrors NOS of off ebay.

Well something's gotta give with their lower prices lol. I sort of figured that would be the case with chrome plated mirrors and such... I wonder how the plastic 2nd Gen mirrors are... when I do my power option upgrades I may go to power mirrors.

Both my Dad and Husband have bought Exterior Metal from LMC

My Dad's Truck in a Box... or 5
So far nothing has gone horribly wrong with either.

And my Hubby bout a new front Valance... which I think it the same thing as this Air Dam you speak of... I'll see if I can't snag a pic when he gets home.

I bought a rear (paintable) bumper, license plate frame and trim piece between the bumper and body from them and didn't notice any difference between the OEM (wrecked) stuff and theirs. I was pretty pleased with how it all fit (no problems) and what it looked like wjen finished. I assure you the license plate frame wasn't light duty. That was for my 94 Ist Gen Blazer. I'd use them again. Just the $20.00 oversize charge on the parts (one or 100) made me order all of the oversize stuff at the same time. Depending on who you talk to I've had them go the extra mile and call someone for a answer and then again one just wanted to e-mail someone (I think he was new) and wait for two days for an answer. Kind of a crapshoot but overall they do a good job.

I got my lower bumper valance from Ebay. But that was a few years ago and I forget how much it cost. I know it was more than $20 and less than $100. If yours is like mine, you'll need to pick up some of those little pop pin pieces that will drive the cost up a bit.
