Moving - man it sucks
So my old lady put me out a couple months ago... Roomed with my buddy till end of july but his lease was up so we found a new house. Its not in Edmonton anymore, but in Camrose, an hour away from Edmonton. Its only a 10 minute drive to work now instead of an hour, the rent is way cheaper in small towns, this is a NEW house that we are the first people to live in. But man does moving ever suck.
Pros
- I have the coolest Silverado in this town and all these kids wanna race
- Cheap rent
- Close to work
- new house
- all my new neighbors are all younger people and seem cool
- have an extra deep double garage for the Blazer to berth in
Cons
- have to move everything again
- the cops here have stopped me already 3 times and issued one fine for my tail lamps
- dont know any chicks (thats what POF is for Muahahah)
- dont have any help cause I dont know anyone
- its an hour drive to see my kids
Should be a cool place to live though.
Anyone else hate moving?

I am kind of the opposite, been living on my own and am moving in with my fiance at the end of the month. But yes it sucks.
And this last weekend I had to drive my moms stuff from Northern California to Utah in a Uhaul that barely got to 65mph... it sucked for 13 hours

yeah, i feel your pain. the ex and i just broke up about 3 weeks ago. we were together for 6 years. lived together for 5. you end up having a lot of stuff to figure out when you split up....i had to pack 5 years of my life and stuff into one room at my mom and dads... not fun!

Know how you feel. We sold our house & moved just last weekend. Fortunately, only a couple of miles but yea, the hassle of packing, unpacking (now in a smaller place) moving phone, power, gas & water services - the list goes on! not to mention the disruption to the usual routine etc. Cat's unhappy cause she's locked inside till her GPS has readjusted to the new "home" location. LOL
Only thing I don't have is a nice big Tahoe in my drive . Will have to be satisfied with the Disco.

I used to move every year or two and hated it. I bought a house back in the 80's and liked having my own place and I was out in the country. Now, urban sprawl is coming for me. That's why I moved out here in the first place, to get away from it. I'll retire in about 8 years and the house will be paid off before then. I'm wondering if I want to stay here with all the preppies moving out here (and bitching about my old cars) or buy some dirt farther out of town.

I tell ya whats easy is moving into a furnished apartment. Ive done it. Im simple. All i had to pack up when i moved was 2 bins of clothes,my tools, fishing rods and kitchen food crap. Had it all loaded in the back of a small truck. Took me 1 day to move out and in.
