My latest grab
was cruising CL and came upon an ad for a 455 with th400 and I started salivating and so I called him and he said it was sitting in a car and that if I wanted the car he would throw it in for a 100 more. well I talked him down from 1200 for everything to 500 but I told him i could do it in a split 300 down and 200 and the end of the month. well I only had like 170 cash in my pocket so I called him and he said that would work so I snagged it for 480 total cost. but i will have more pics later but here is a teaser of the 455 powered 1975 ventura aka nova but this is growing on me more then the nova of the same age and such.
also a little bit of the blazer too lol

nice score!
personally, i prefer those Ventura's from that era, over the Nova's (they became really fugly IMO).
any idea what era the 455 is from?

That should make the ventura move. Are you a member of Steves Nova Site? It is full of great info and people like this site.

Nice find and good steal!
BTW novas were arguably crap after 1970, and deffinitely crap after 1972...
that ventura is a nice change of pace than the dog-ugly mid-to-late 70's Novas

This is a Friends 70 Wildcat with a mild build Buick BB. It has been a few years....think it is the 430.
Not bad for a 4600 lb. car. He drove it there. Ran it on the same tires. Drove it home. 100% restored. AC and all power options work.
You want torque? A big block is the only way to go.
