Wow, that does suck! Big time! I would get the license to carry. At least nobody got hurt.

For those that were keeping an eye out... Thank you! The wheels have been recovered...

They were recognized by an Austin Police Department Sergeant who discovered them on a vehicle that was driving recklessly.

Im sorry to hear about the Yukon, but hey it was insured, you got the rare rims back (hopefully in the same condition) your family walked away uninjured, and they caught the sorry SOB responsible. Sounds to me like this couldnt have gone any better given the situation!

By 'shopped', I mean someone saw what was on your truck and your were followed at least once or twice and someone was watching your truck. They waited until she was driving because she was less likely to resist or try to escape.

It's highly unlikely they would have tried to retaliate against your or your family if OnStar could have disabled it. Chances are, they'd have abandoned it where it stopped and hoped it would get towed to an impound lot. Wheels and stuff are easy to steal from impound lots.
That's exactly what I was thinking. I believe you guys were stalked beforehand. I also believe they would have just run away if OnStar stopped it. That's because they'd be more concerned about getting caught and doing time.
