My corvette is running a little rough. about a year and a half ago, we had to have the injectors replaced. One failed, and it sent a no run signal to the computer. Everything ran fine, and we only put maybe 300 miles since putting the injectors in. The car only has 70,xxx miles, which is great for a 1990. I pulled the plugs, and they were a little oil soaked, but nothing to worry over. I just swapped in a set of new plug wires, and she is still running rough. What should I look at next? I already looked at the usual suspect, but im still lost.....Help, please

 

did you try testing fuel pressure? vaccuum pressure?

 

No I havent checked those yet............It has smoothed out quite a bit since the wires set, but she still has a little bit of buck in the idle, which she never had. I threw some injector cleaner in there just to be sure, since maybe some old gas turned bad in the injectors. That shouldnt happen since she gets started, and driven every month, even if it is only a couple miles.......Ill be checking the fuel pressure, and the vacuum tomorrow, on sunday, and will get back to you guys on monday....

 

I would suggest getting the timing checked as well, if it's not sparking at the correct time it can leave unburnt fuel on the plugs. Also with putting very little miles on the car check the water and see if it is a milky colour, that would suggest that your head gasket is on it's way out, this would also make the car smoke a little but the smoke would be white. Either one of these would make the car run rough on idle.
