Unhappy New Corvette Stingray Rear End

Of course, this is my opinion about the new corvette. I noticed that almost every photo was from the front or side of the car. When I finally viewed the rear end and saw what they did to the exhausts, I was disappointed. I know they were trying to be unique, but grouping all 4 exhausts into the rear center looks really odd. I know I'm not alone on this.

alot of newer cars are like this, its not the old days where you can move or run your exhaust anywhere you want, they all have to be in a very very specific spot , hate to see what happens if the hangers break and one of those pipes fall into the plastic bumper

I like how it looks, performance is sub par of what you would expect from what I have read, especially with all the hype

The new Corvette, like the last Corvette, is an abomination and not deserving of the marque. How dare they call it a "Stingray" when there's nothing about this car that even remotely resembles a stingray (which is where the name came from in the first place). It's a cheesy looking ripoff of the Ferrari 599, it sorta looks like a ****ty kitcar to be honest.

In this era of nostalgic design (Mustang/Camaro/Challenger) it was the RIGHT time for the Vette to go back to what made it what it was - pure sex on wheels. We Americans care only partially about useless crap like 200mph top ends or 1g+ cornering. What we WANT is something that looks HOT AS HELL. Something that makes you WANT to get your *** up and go to work to afford the beauty queen in your driveway.

The 57-62, 63-67, 68-72, 80-82 Corvettes are cars that will stand the test of time... like Chuck Berry or John Fogerty or Stevie Ray Vaughan's music - they will appeal to the soul 100 years from now. This new Corvette, blah... nobody will give a **** 5 years from now let alone 100.

The Corvette never interested me. A few years I liked but back in the day they weren't kids cars. They were old men's cars just like today. Cars that touched me then & tough me today are like Hemi Road Runners, Chevelle's with 454s & one 66 Chevelle that a friend of mine owned that I drove that he pull a 427 in. Cobra's both the 289 & 427 versions. 429 Mustangs. Chevy Impala's with 409s & 4 speed. Challengers with 340s, etc. Those are the cars I will remember. Corvettes attract a very small part of car guys. I always thought Corvettes were made to buy for your wife or girlfriend. That is what one of my buddies use to do with them back in the day. She wouldn't even let him drive it. But he had enough other fast cars like a 55 Chevy with a built 427 with alum heads. It would pull the front tires off the ground.

I love the looks, but i'm pretty sure the designers got lazy and went to Ferraris website for design ideas.

Anybody throwing a fit about vette exhaust exiting in the body work hasn't been around many vettes have you.

2012

1962

1959

1957

1953

More gens had that feature than didn't.

Besides the last real vette was made in 1967. Anything after that is only good for parts for other gms. The badest and bestest vettes were made in 1983, nothing before or after holds a candle to those.
