yea i don't get the ford comment. some people are 1 brand people. which I don't understand but whatever. to each there own. I've owned contour's since they came out in 95, this is actually my 5th one. I've always wanted one of the svts since they came out. as for the slow comment the car runs 14.8-15.2 in the 1/4 mile. it's pretty quick for what it is..and the cars bone stock at the moment, it'll be a little quicker next year.

 

A running car for $550 is a steal. If it needs a couple bucks of work, some TLC, I'd be all over that. Then again, I have pipe-dreams of a LeMons Race Car and that sucker would more than fit the bill. Screw it, $550 some pick-a-part parts, and I'd totally rock that as a DD. I say, go for it!!! Nice find.

edit : fix that CEL and simple-green the engine bay, clean up the interior and flip that sucker for a $2000 profit :P

i have been daily driving it. i drove the blazer for the first time since i bought it today. never really realized how slow it actually was haha

 

yeah, those things are pretty quick. a friend of my bother's had a '98, with a chip and cat back, man could that thing haul-even with 4 big guys in it!

 

yeah i owned a taurus once and my dad had a contour. they are nice cars as a whole i just learned to dislike ford based on the nickle and dimeing my taurus put me through. as far as the slow comment goes i meant it as a joke i know the SVT contours are damn quick for what they are. didnt mean to offend ya
