Default Not new to the site but got a new vehicle

Got rid of the 96 Blazer almost 2 years ago but just picked up a 99 Silverado, reg cab, 2wd, 5spd with a 4.3V6(motors bad)

I'm wondering what the differance is(if there is any) between the Blazer/S10 4.3 and the fullsize truck 4.3?
I need to get a new motor and need to know if I could use a Blazer/S10 or if it has to be out of a fullsize.. Also how much trouble would it be to just pull the motor and tranny and put in a LS1 and 6spd man. from a Camero/Firebird. I'm really liking this idea!

Unsure about the 4.3L.

HOWEVER! I'm sure an LS1 swap would be fairly simple, not sure about the tranny though. I know you'd at least have to cut the floor a bit.

And one more thing... just a pet peeve of mine since I love Camaros... there's no e in it.

Sorry about the spelling, it was late. I know there is no "e" in Camaro 
