Default Owning Two Vehicles, Is It Worth It?

I currently own a 2000 Chevy Blazer with no real issues at the moment, and I was thinking about getting a another Blazer (or Jimmy) so I can have both a work truck and a highway truck. I don't want get rid of my current Blazer mainly because it runs great, but I still have some things I would like to do to it like getting the interior cleaned up and fixing all of my engine oil leaks. I am looking at getting something with 4WD to do work (and maybe go off-roading).

I have plenty of space to park and I can handle the extra costs (like maintenance and insurance); but is it worth it?

I drive a company vehicle, own 3 others. The blazer is for most duties, wife's Saab is for going out nice, and full size conversion van is for road trips and most boating excursions. Sold the motorcycle because to many people are to busy texting rather then watching out what's going on.

ive had two vehicles for about the past 15 years, its great especially if you have older vehicles. you said your truck now theres nothing wrong with it, but you never know when a transmission or engine is going to decide to go out. ive seemed to have kept 3 trucks lately. i go a 2wd pick up for a daily all around vehicle. i have a nice 80s slightly lifted 4x4 for winter or occasional driving and then the strictly offroad truck to destroy.

insurance for the second truck really isnt that much more, like 20 bucks a month

Ive got a fullsize truck, a small Trax LTZ, and my blazer in the garage. Its nice to take the fuel efficient car when going far. Its nice to have the truck for hauling stuff. And its nice to have the blazer for tinkering with

Definitely worth it considering our hobby like abig84 said....if we liked new cars then maybe not, but with older vehicles that we like to wrench on it definitely helps...
