What a crock! I mean for a company to that when you were going to step up & order another set & when they find out their product was defective NOT to refund the original purchase price is BS! It's the fair & customer support/caring thing to do in my books.

Kit came with plug that old headlight plug goes into, relay with all wiring intact and to legnth, 2 digital ballasts for slim mount, 2 brackets for the ballasts to lock into, 2 bi-xenon 6000k HID bulbs.

Did anyone try can call the number for me? I cant call it from Canada, and Im looking for someone with a magicjack here so I can make the call... I really want to try and get my money back or something. I really hope this topic shows up on google when someone searches for Pilot HID reveiw...

On a side not, I ordered a set from hidextra.com I got 6000k H4 bi-xenon, and shipping, was exactly 90 bucks. I wonder whats going to be the problem with my first online transaction this card... I have horrible luck with these things.

On the topic of HIDextra... I had some heafty dealings with them... 4 defective ballasts and all 4 got replaced within a timely manner, 2 of them a couple of days after the 12 month warranty period had expired.

It's not Michelle who's dealing with the customer anymore, Karen was very pleasant to deal with and there was no charge to ship the replacement ballasts to Canada. For that simple fact I would deal with them again. While their product may not be the highest of quality, they do stand behind their warranty and I know of at least one company who have really given people the run around on warranty claims. *cough*DDM*cough*

im assuming your truck uses 1 bulb that is high and low beam, usually those HID kits are a little more, but not $300 more.. 120-150 max...and that wiring harness is actually the relay system that flips high and low.

one thing you may want to find out is if you have all your + and - in the right spots.
you should have 1 wire next to each bulb that needs to be grounded to negative, plus the main ground.
i found out that the cavilear actually has a positive ground which put the bi-xenons in high beam mode all the time, to fix it everything hs to be plugged in backwards...not fun.

they probably nailed you on the shipping on the price..there are a lot of HID companies that offer free shipping to USA but as soon as you say canada they want to double the price...its not like shipping a small box here is $60... i can see charging 10-20 MAX....anything else i wont buy from just out of principal.

funny you mention the relay harness flips hi/low... i had a set of RTX 9007-2 HID's in my sunfire before i sold it - WITHOUT a relay harness. the Hi/low switching is in the ballast itself and the relay harness is to bypass using the stock wiring harness power supply because its generally too weak for HID's or because they make cheap multi use kits and the relay harness allows you to use one style vs the other style. i've never heard of a relay harness actually controlling hi/low usage.

lil more info on my HID's 8000k with digi slim ballasts & seperate xenon bulb high beam - we CUT and rewired the HID wiring between the 9007 plug and the ballast so it was wired correctly rather than dealing with a relay harness that uses 1 plug instead of both allowing the other to corrode. NEVER had a problem with High, Low, OR DRL's in it.

Now my cavalier has the relay harness on it and the 2 seperate bulb setup. again the stock harness plugs into the drivers side of the car, goes into the relay that takes the signal from the GM harness for on/off and from there sends the direct from battery 12v to the ballast to ignite it. i plan to bypass that stupid relay as it's crapping out and a pointless venture when i replace the HID setup. i have a new harness to replace the GM one since it's fukt and the last owner bypassed it in the end - also mangled that relay harness badly too.

Yes the H4 bulb flips up from behind the little shield for a helluva high beam, just wish it had both...

So seriously, can one of you please call this company from the US and see if you can even get someone, heck, PM me and Ill give you my phone number maybe you can leave a message to call me? That would be awesome, I dont know anyone with a VOIP phone to try calling them on.

And its not anything to do with the wiring, when I switch it to the working side, the bulb doesnt work... bulbs done before it ever started up.

On a side note, Oktain has convinced me to keep trying to get some HIDextra ones with the free shipping on warranty stuff, thats awesome.

I tried to buy them online, but I guess my order never went through, so Im waiting till 11am pacific, noon my time, to phone them and do it over the phone. I even got an email for my order, but no money taken from me, and no package yet... Gee I hope the number wasnt stolen again on my second ever online purchase, maybe it will show up for free LOL

Well thats crazy, they have such a nice website, but you cant get ahold of them if you wanted to.

I did get a message from a guy on the facebook group for PilotHID, he gave me the phone number of someone with Pilot, and said he was going to call the BBB on them, and got a response and warranty, that number is 503-360-4199 if anyone out there in internet land comes across this post on a google search. Ill keep the forum updated.
