It's also a big deal to say "a-boot" on your cell in a GOV and cheer for your favorite hockey team after pounding some Molson Ice up there...

The funny part is... They think your kidding! Portland drivers are their own breed for sure, I drive about ten miles a day (too and from work and school) and I'd say (no bull) I am almost hit by drivers on the phone AT LEAST THREE times a day! AT LEAST. No joke, I live in the part of town all the rich people live in. It would seem BMW, cellphone chatting and irrisponsible driving go hand in hand!

If it werent for my stellar ability to evade incomming morons with simply my thumb ( I drive around using just my thumb if I'm going under... say 70), anyways point being Im a hypocryte, but I dont care cuz its only ok for me to do what I want. everyone else should follow the rules! haha I hate the idiot drivers in my town lol. I would (quite litteraly) kill for an open country road with NO traffic...

Move to Sandy... on your way to say, Rhododendron, you can pretty much pick any side road after town and get lost for days. Hell search crews will only go looking when its nice out

Talking on the phone is in the process of being made illegal here. We're a bit slow down under, takes a while to catch on.

Talking is one thing but, the most dangerous I've seen is people texting. Not only are they focused on the conversation/message but looking at the phone to punch in the words as well.

I'll admit to being back for texting and driving lol, and yes I'll admit to it being dangerous. Wasn't so bad on my old phone with T9..it's extremely easy to text and drive with an ols style phone, but these new QWERTY keyboards make it hard to text and drive. I don't do it much anymore just because it's very dangerous with a touch screen QWERTY.

hahahahhaa thats for a good laugh this morning ABN...your posts are always enjoyable. Any FYI - I don't watch hockey...we don't all love it up here. I'm a football person myself...Pat's/Vikings fan. And Molson Ice is nasty beer...just about as bad as a Colt..or Faxe lol. I'm a Coors man myself...which is also made my Molson, so I guess you're partially right

Sorry SISK but even for Canadian beer Coors is like water for me, I'm a Canadian man and a Canadiens Fan! lmao... Problem is I'll have to start laying off the Canadian, my spare tire from my truck seems to be slowly migrating to my waistline.

OH... How'd we go from Jackasses in 4-bangers wanting to race Blazers to the cell phone discussion anyway? Oh, and talking on the cell is going to be illegal very soon here.

Anyone else have run ins with little creeps like this one? Obviously we don't mention if any *ahem* street racing *cough cough* came from it, but if any little twerp in a civic with a big rocket-ship wing was egging you on tell us if anything funny happened or you just looked over and laughed at the rusty POS with a beer-can muffler sitting next to you.

well it wasn't exactly a civic or anything like that, but I had a dude in a ford ranger revving his engine at me at a red light like he wanted to race me. Funny thing was when he went to take off his truck just sputtered like it was gonna die. I just looked over and shook my head and kept going on my merry way. But it was funny at the moment.

Having the 4.3 is kinda nice cause most people don't realize that when put in a Blazer, it makes a pretty quick little truck, at least my 2door is.

I can smash on 4cyls all day..until I find one with a turbo. Hell I've out run my buddies 5.3 silvy and 4.8 f150 clear to 60mph. My other friend has a R/T charger, I can keep up with him through 1st gear
