The sounds are coming from the transmission area, under the air cleaner box on the drivers side. It's making awful noises during shifting, i thought maybe the linkage between the shifter and transmission needs to be adjusted, it's still connected. Hoping for myabe bad solenoid, but we'll see. On another note, my blazer is having trouble shifting into drive, but that's for another section lol

Ok. So is it moving at all in gear? Like when in drive or reverse?

check your motor mounts, i had an intrepid that clunked bad due to warn mounts, could be throwin stuff outa spec. Even sheared the mount clean off in my z26 one time, whole engine/trans would jump around, lol it was scary!

Jack it up and play with the wheels, that should differentiate between trans and cvs.

make or buy a stethoscope, then listen to the trans and find out where the noise is.

could be a solenoid but i wouldnt just go replacing stuff till i knew if the trans was hosed. may have broken a hardpart (pin, gear, shell, housing, plate, disk, etc).

any check engine/tcm codes? does it have a tcm? just my 2 pennies.

As far as I know my dad told me that it won't move at all in any gear. He stopped at a stop sign and when he pressed the gas something snapped or popped or something. But it revs when you press the gas pedal.

I would bet its the CV axles. Id check them first before I start spending money. Like I said, same exact thing happened to my exwifes 03 Dodge Neon. Popped and wouldnt move. You can put it in park and still move it back and forth like its in N. Ended up being the passenger side cv axle snapped. It wasnt that hard to replace at all and ended up costing me like $45 for it without the core charge. But Id almost bet its one of the CV axles

I'll tell that to my dad and have them check that out first. Would that also be causing the weird grinding and awful noises comgin from the tranny when trying to shift. It does roll abck and forth while it's in park.

It might, depending on where they broke, if it is them. The teeth on the end of them could have worn and snapped. They could have snapped anywhere.

Verdict came back, and both cv axles are shot......along with all rusted brake lines, rear sway bar is 95% rusted through, and a couple other things. Gunna cost a pretty penny to fix it :/

Shouldnt cost to much to fix. You can get a used sway bar for it from a junkyard instead of new. And you can replace them all yourself. THe hardest part would be the brake lines. But thats it.
