Smile Replaced radiator

Yesterday, on my way home I could not get my heat to work. I just flushed out the heatercoil about two weeks prier to that and it worked.
So I new something wasnt right the truck was not over heating, but there was no heat so I checked the water level and sure enuff it was low so I put some water in it started the truck and let it get to running tempature and it showed it self on the aluminum part of the 13 year old radiator. A very tiny crack. Im actually glad that it happened now, and it didnt wait until it was below 0 outside. Haha. I even recieved a new set of alluminum tran coolier lines ends peices what ever their called. It was an easy job but it could not have happened at a worse financul time. I checked the O-rings on the oil lines they were a little worn but I didnt have any to replace it so I just figgered them clean and put then back in. I wonder how much alluminum is going for right now will find out tomarrow! That and a belt I bought and didnt need maybe will pay for a nice portion of it. we'll find out!

Scrap aluminum in under a dollar or about a dollar per lb right now. I know scrap metals have taken a hit just lately as I ship a few tons a month of 5356, 6063 aluminum, 304, 430 & other stainless steel & reg. carbon steel.
I have a "on the way home" story but it was on the way to work:
I remote started the blazer because it was around 34F thurs morn at 6:30. Went out & on my way to work... turned the corner to where my work was & DEAD - the engine stopped!
Neutral & coasted a bit, tried to start it but it had that funny/odd sound of no compression while it turned over.
I knew I had about 1/8 tank of gas but thought (on going isues with fluctuating gas level readings) I MIGHT be out of gas. I dumped 3 gallons in from a jerry can & no go. Sprayed some brake cleaner in the throttle body & it fired but didn't run = fuiel issue.

Walked the 200' to work, got the forklift & towed it back. At lunch I read up on possible issues IE sensors not telling the PCM the engine is running etc & went through all the fuses. Few (I thought had no power because the aux item had to be turned on or engine running) didn't make the test light turn on.

If Murphey wasn't on my shoulder OMFG I miss stepped or got distracted... what ever the case I missed the fuse for the fuel pump. I switched over the relay, but missed the pump fuse.

$78 for a tow only for Glenn at Duals to ask if I had a 15 amp fuse handy.... ( I had a spare in the truck) NOOOooooo ... YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!...

How much of a dumbass can I feel like? lol (please reserve comments)

Yah! what a waste of time I took the time to peel off the plastic ends on the rad. and took it down there they gave me $3.08 for it. It probly took more then that in gas to go there, man it suck$. I triied to find away to get the motor loaded up but the guy I know with a motor hoist did'nt get up in time. so that fell through also.
