Default The Restoration Continues! It Lives!

So recently I tore apart the carburators of a 1978 honda cb550 and was met with lots of varnish. Carb cleaner took care of that but we were hopeing that we wouldn't have to get rebuild kits(they are $60 a piece), but we were met with succes when after getting a new batterie(and screwing in the idle adjustment screw) with a sustained running engine . Bad news is the cylinder 2 started blowing oil out the exhaust . We are hoping that it's just a valve stem seal that came with an engine gasket set we ordered, but it might be the valve guides. Seeing that the bike spent 6 years outside on it's side and the engine cylinders have no pitting in them, and holds oil pressure still amazes us
