Here's a thread that made me lol when I read it. Just proves that people just don't think to clearly. It's one thing to be cheap, but never sacrifice safety.

Hocky pucks being the same as factory body mounts!? LMFAO, I've seen a hockey puck crumble, it's a very stiff/brittle rubber, not like the body mount rubber.

Just remember how many buildings are made from wood.... How many boats... how many....... How many.....

Wood does decent as a material BUT, it depends on the wood, it can be quite sturdy...

Why not make a timber frame for the truck too? After all they seemed to work well in off-road conditions in the old wild west!
