Looks like fun. I've skydived a few times and it was an amazing experience.

i haven't done free fall. it's something to check off the list. best i have done was 1800' AGL with a 6 second static line off of a UH-60. When you skydived, did you roll tandem or solo?

i got in 48 jumps in 82 months (minus 31 deployed) but you only "get" 4 a year for pay... so i 'chased' 31 jumps, one of which was with German jumpmasters on US aircraft, and one was on an Egyptian C-130 clone with Egyptian air crew.

When I was in the army I was only up to around 17 jumps. When I was in you only had to jump 3 times to keep the pay. So thats what I did .

I was actually going through the Accelerated Free Fall course to get my skydiving license. I had two instructors with me, but wasn't attached to anyone. Tandem was something I just did not want to do. I had to go through a 7 hour course before my first jump, but it was worth it.

The most amazing jump I had was when I was in free fall through a cloud (a major, but unavoidable no-no) and then under canopy descending through another cloud (another big no-no). It was solid white, a bit wet, and seemed oddly peaceful. lol
