Default Torrential downpour

After 2 hours with a shop-vac after a freak downpour my basement is mostly dry again. What a pain, it's the desert and it probably put down about 2.5 - 3 inches of rain in about 30 min.

Thats a lotta watta in 30 mins holly crap! If you don't have I'd rent a dehumidifier if I were you. Mold & spores in the wet wood, carpet etc will make it into the furnace or ductwork & into the rest of the house.

Yea im going out there saturday and help clean up. It was about quarter inch of water,it wasnt too bad,but enough to get all the floors etc wet. Il rent a rug doctor and help suck up the water in the place.

I live in utah and we usually don't get that much rain in one storm. But this has been a strange year weather wise.
