I'm an Extruder operator makeing weather stripping for the big 3. When the weather is nice I frame houses. When I have time I fix everyones vehicles and don't get a chance to work on my own.
I'm an automotive technician at a Chevy dealer, but they just merged 4 dealerships, so now I'm seeing some Nissan, Buick, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles also. It's O.K. I would probablymajor in something else if I could do it again, but it's all I knew at the time and there was a baby on the way so....no regrets!

I think your job is awesome and a job that can make you very valuable in the working environment. Let alone, an automotive technician is a great trait to have.

Its good to know but anyone with a mechnical mindset can do it, its not hard to learn.
Its a job, it paid the bills but I love money too much to not make alot of it.
Sorry for posting 2-in-a-row KYLE
I live to play. To pay for that I have a few jobs.

I gotta agree with LastCoupe. Almost anyone can replace parts, it takes a technician todiagnose and repair vehicles.

Lastcoupe, thats ALOT of "techs" we didnt go thru that many in the 3 years I was at lexus and the 3 years in the army. A close family friend has been a GM master tech for the past 27 years at the same dealership he started as a porter in the late 70's, he is damn good at what he does.
