What size impact wrench should I buy?
I am redoing most of my front-end suspension fairly soon and I have no idea what the difference between the 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch impact wrenches are, except for size, of course. What do you recommend? Are there are adapters available for 1/2 inch wrenched to move up to 3/4in.? Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

In my honest opinion i think a good 3/8 (snap-on, ingersoll-rad) could handle just about anything in your front end that you would need it to do, not only that, but a 3/8 will fit more easily into tighter areas. you could go with a 1/2 too, but i think a 3/4 is overkill for anything on your blazer. and yes there are adapters to adapt up or down to any size you may need. I run snap-on mg325 (3/8) and mg725 (1/2) at work and love them.

I agree 1/2" is more then enough. I also have a 3/8 which would loosen mist of the stuff on my front suspension.
I just bought a 1/2" 24 volt cordless impact. I love it having found anything yet it can't loosen and no air hoses to deal with.

a 3/4 or 1 inch for heavy truck only because they are probably to big and bulky to fit in most areas on a passenger vehicle
take a look at the CFM requirements of any gun you choose and compare to your compressor

I personally liked & owned a Snap-On but back 40 years ago they weren't maybe as expensive as today.

Id have to disagree here. I have an IR 1/2 drive gun and I love it, but Sunex has a Super Duty 1/2 gun that has 1300lb ft of reverse torque ( which is how most guns are rated) and is under $300. Ive used this gun for a while, its not heavy or bulky. Its got the power of a 3/4 drive in a much smaller package. There isnt much it wont take off. I use it on road tractors and trailers all day long.
Id have to say $ for $ you cant beat this gun.

I own an auto shop and don't even use 3/4 that often. I do own one but it sits 90% of the time.
I'd suggest if you only own one get a 1/2 inch drive. 3/8 just aint big enough for some things on autos. I have a 3/8 and 1/4, they have their place but most of the time 1/2 is the go to gun for breaking stuff loose.
