Brought home $500 worth of supplies to build a massive 12 foot long office/computer desk for my wife and I. Going to wrap around 3 walls of a room and have a couple filing cabinets, and will give TONS of desk space and some working space for my indoor hobbies
Figured I would spend well over $600 for a pair of half decent corner desks that still wouldn't be as large as I plan on making this one, so building a custom one is actually a cheaper option, and it'll fit the room perfectly in the in. And assuming I can not completely booger up the woodworking, it should look very polished in the end. I have a vision, weather or not I can craft it to that vision has yet to be determined lol.
Also picked up a left rear brake caliper for the Blazer on the way home because the one on it now is dragging... Did you guys know you can buy rear calipers WITH the mounting bracket at O'reilly auto parts? Wish I would have known that some odd 3 years ago, the last time I was in the rear brakes and I had a bolt in the slide pins snap off in the bracket on both sides...

Got one step closer to finishing a design and 3D print of a trailer for a small RC boat
Just needs a tong jack and some fenders, and devise a way to actually hold the boat down to the trailer. Then I can model up and print a hitch for this little guy to tow it!
That's awesome! Is the boat rc as well? I've been looking at getting one for the wife and getting a trailer to hook up to my slash lol, just ordered a new motor for it so should be here in a month lol

It is. Cheap little China made Intey brand that I acquired a while back. This one is pretty small, just a hair over a foot long. Definitely toy grade, but after noticing that the rudder control was a regular sized micro servo, I swapped all of the electronics out for more hobby grade stuff. Now I run it with my Spektrum TX and a lipo battery. For it's size the stupid thing is quick now lol.
Yesterday I scored a deal with a 3D printing company to do some YouTube review videos on some of their products which is cool! They're sending me some supplies next month, so that'll be fun to see where that goes.
Today I started constructing my wife and my new desk. Got the basic structure of it formed, still have a lot of tweaking and finishing to do though. Over 16 foot of desktop realestate

That's a great desk! My dad made a desk in the basement of where I grew up, it was 2 solid planks of 4x8 sheets stretched from one end of the town house to the other. Was able to put, my 2 sister, mom and my dad all doing homework/paper work lol. I always preferred the home build then store bought.
Got our (the wife and I) new desk pretty much assembled. Will most likely end up with some shelving on it in the center for some more storage.
Going to the throw the computers on it today and test drive it for a little while to make sure we like the general layout, and then it'll get pulled back apart (easy enough because it's all screwed together) and stained, as right now it's just bare pine.
Also took the opportunity to give my desktop a good cleaning, because my god was it dusty...
Wife and I got a sitter and went to the forest for the day with some group friends
my brother got stuck took 2 jeeps to get out and overall all the jeeps broke down 3 front diff issues 2 flat tires and 1 blown engine but the Chevy came home issue free lol
