Lol.. I knew if I hung around enough I would see this.. but never thought it would be from the original poster of a 'Favorite Beer' thread.
Good for you..
Bud Lite is my favorite back-up beer.
If there's no..
1. Dos Equis
2. Yuengling Black and Tan
3 Sam Adams Lager

... available. At least with Bud Light you know what you're gonna get.

ADDED:
Sometimes it's fun to think where you discovered your beers. I discovered Dos Equis in Livonia Mich while I was still a Stroh's {whose main brewery was in Detroit} drinker. I first became a Sam Adams fan in Denver.
- Speaking of Denver..below mentioned 'Coors Light' .. heh. We're talking something that actually tastes like beer here, so why not ice tea flavored, at least there will be some. Coors Light is a redundancy. Only more overrated national brand is Corona.

Note that none of those on that list above are 'designer' frou-frou beers. They ARE real beer.

Mmmmm Dos Equis Amber is good! Sam Adams is good too but I also like Guiness & micro brewery beers like cream ales, stouts, honey lagers. Oh & Alexander Keiths India Pale Ale is really good on tap. Also like red eyes or uglies - beer & clamato.
Day to day beer or just a beer in the fridge is a cheap beer.

My boss who's British & just came back from a holiday in the UK said they have their beer with caps. I asked wtf is a cap? Beer with a shot of 7-up on it. Hmmmmm haven't tried THAT one yet.

I used to love Oberon....I got over it a few years ago. Bell's winter wheat is my favorite, unfortunately you can only get it in the winter. Second would have to be Leine's Summer shandy....cheaper than micro, and pretty tasty frosty cold on a hot day!
(a icy cold Bud on a hot day isn't half bad....tastes pretty good with a steak!)

Becks, if they don't have Becks, I'll have some 18 year old scotch.

I have a few that are my go to beers... Pilsner... Anybody that lives in Western Canada will know and recently for a nice light summer "drink" I have been enjoying some Coors Light Ice Tea it's a different taste.... Do you have Pilsner in the States?
