How about this one.

when i was in my sophomore year of high school, a junior girl got a brand new fully loaded H2 for her 16th birthday. Christmas of 2005, her and her friend are on their way back from the UP. she was doing 85 in the fast lane, flicked her cigarette out the window, and hit the rumble patch. she over corrected and flipped the truck end over end. she ended up in the back seat because she wasn't buckled. her best friend, a nice girl who was great looking and popular, in the passenger seat was killed because she was wearing her seat belt and the roof caved in on her side.

So, what does her daddy do? he gives her the keys to his 2004 SRT10 Dodge Viper until the court cases are over with and he figures out what to do about a car for her. 4 months later, he buys her a brand new Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. a year later, she was drunk and slid into a tree. Her daddy then fixed the car and she still drives it. Talk about spoiled rotten brats........

sorry, rant of the day, it would have been the passengers 21st birthday today. she was a good friend of mine.

back to topic, i'd love to have a typhoon or syclone because of how crazy fast they are and they don't even show it. Kid around me with an LS1 96 blazer would be humbled by a stock gmc from 91,92

Damm I wouldn't have gave a 16 year old a new car to start 2nd of all if they wrecked what i got them they would be walking but that's my personal view. This was my first car bought it with my own money and haven't had any accidents yet. But I guess you never learn to take care of stuff until you have to pay for it yourself.

as obvious as it is to most, i do pay for all my own stuff. i just live in an area where kids think there is no limit to the amount of money mommy and daddy should spend on their things. my buddy has a job that pays him 2 grand a month and he spends about 4k each month on random crap but claims its all his money..... yeah, ok

^^^ I wondered how long it would be before this thread was abducted by the mods...

My highschool wasn't too bad for mommy&Daddy funded rides, but if you went to our "rival" school and you sat out front before classes started, you'd see kids coming in in Mom's Porsche Cayenne Turbo, and I even watched a kid bend a rim on daddy's M3 CSL when he came flying into the parking lot at about 45-50mph and hit the BIGGEST pot hole in the parking lot.

I was at the Nissan dealership with my dad about 4 years ago, just snooping around, we were looking for a vehicle for my mom when I see a classmate pull in with his dad. Now you need to understand his dad is a home builder, the owner of the largest home building company in Sudbury. They own and build about 75%+ of the new sub-divisions going in and the homes.

So they get out of the BMW 7-series, which my friend is driving and they start walking around, he sees me and waves and then points at a truck and I hear him say "I want that one..." As the salesman walks out his dad turns and says how much for that one cash deal? Salesman pulls a calculator out, "It's __thousand ___hundred dollars", Daddy pulls his cheque book out, writes it up ON THE SPOT.

2 weeks later the truck had 22's and every conceivable stick-on chrome accessory... this guy was an exception to the rule though, besides parking anywhere he felt like (ie. school sidewalks) he babied that truck.

Ya there's this kid that I went to school with. (Who is 16) his 1st car was a honda s2000 in yellow. Every time I would see this kid driving he was at wide open throttle and the kid drives like an idiot. Well the other night he was driving on I95 doing about 85mph in the rain. He hydroplaned right into the wall. He's fine but the cars totaled. His mom and dad are getting him any car he wants. He want either a 370z or a bmw. Ill post pics of the s2000
