I thought it might be interesting to see what kind of internet speeds everyone all over NA is getting. I'm curious to see how they range.

2 questions:

1) What is the advertised speed of your internet package from your ISP?

2) What is your actual speed (on average)

Comcast (which I was dreading) advertises "download speeds up to 15 Mbps and uploads up to 3 Mbps" with the package we have. Actual speed:



WAY faster than my old service, at a lower price (even after the promo period ends).

meh...
Veriozon FiOS says i can get up to 30 DL and no mention of upload, but everything is pretty damn fast. i can d/l movies 4 or 5 at a time with the bandwidth throttled out, and still pop open 8-11 forum pages at me leasure...

bottom is via run CMD ping www.blazerforum.com (running 5 forum pages and youtube at the time)

fastest i got was 12 down and 3 up but i could get he results to get any better and id didnt save th e link from speed test.. thats one of the things that sucks about living in podunk...........

Sudden link claims 10mb/s so I guess that is about right.

Ahh yes, gotta love a technological school!

Update: I just ran it through wifi on my iPhone, it got much worse haha!

Oh man, BRUTAL, this is in an older building at the university of manitoba.
When im back in wallace building (one of the newest buildings) its usually faster i will run it when im back there later

upload - 62.13
