Default who else is sick of the heat?

So my wife, bless her heart was concerned for my safety ( or sick of hearing me complain ) about working in the heat. Now, I've worked in a machine shop since I was 18, no ac, it comes with the job. I know how to take care of myself during the iowa summer, this one starting off extremely hot, I wasn't as used to it and got dehydrated. So a trip to the er for some fluids, I'm good to go.
She decided to do some research on how to prevent heat stress and found a company that makes cooling vest. So she ordered one for me from a company called glacier tek. Its supposed to remain at 59 degrees for 2 and half hours and only takes 20 minutes in ice water to recharge.
Just thought I would share, if anyone is interested I can do a reivew when I receive it, hopefully on Wednesday. Have fun, stay cool and safe!

That's a really cool product! I wanna know how it works for you, because I'd use something like that if I'm mowing the lawn or working on my truck outside. It isn't too cold in Oklahoma this part of the year

Amen on being sick of the heat. We haven't been doing as much outside on the farm now that it is 100+ degrees. We are supposed to have a cool down this next week, but we will see about that when the time comes

ive always worked out in garages my whole life, i think im just so used to it. tuesday i sweated through 2 shirts by the time i left work and i really could care less. i just hate getting in customers cars.

the 4th and 5th i went fishing with my gf and her brother and the entire time everyone just complained of the heat and headaches. after a few hours i dumped them off and took his boat back out on my own for the next 6 hrs. thank god im immune to heat.

I don't mind working out in my driveway in the heat on my truck, but when I have to roll it into the garage with little airflow the humidity gets to me a little.

Yeah, we certainly need it. We're not as bad here in NW Ohio compared to others, but I do believe if we got rain now it wouldn't help the corn one bit...whatever it is going to be now is what it will be, bad or worse, whichever it decides. The very base of the stalks are turning brown today, so we can all see where this is going...
