I own a 2000 yz 125 every year on the lake. Here are some picks of my home made stand and before and after pictures. I am putting screws in my front and bad tires. Here is the front tire with out the screws.

You will see that in the middle every other **** dosent have a screw, I burnt them down to much in the summer.

I don't ride my current one but used to ride my DS185 without studs or screws every Winter...I'll never forget when I would hit ice under some snow when I was trying to turn, it was like someone body slammed me. I'm too old for that anymore with or without screws in the tires...

 

I've even road my roadbike in the snow , i probably would not try it today but But I have done it . I don't think Im getting old , I just have my family that counts on me . Heck at work thursday my rachet gave out and hit me in the temple , it instanty swelled up like a ping pong ball . Today I have a sweet black eye and it feels like I was hit in the head with a baseball .
