I just got access to some new property in the U.P. Probably going up in october to get stuff ready and check it out for the opener (Nov. 15th). I love trackin a blood trail in snow.

Won't be hunting until the first week of Nov (elk and deer in CO). Just need to get me some new bullets as Winchester quit making FailSafes a couple of years ago and I only have about 6 left. I'll be going with their replacement, XP3's.

So, aside from that, I'm ready! Oh, some range time to ensure my rifles like the new rounds.

Fortunately over here in NZ we don't have a set hunting season except for a few species of deer so we can go out whenever we like for pig deer Thar wild sheep and wild cattle or just go out and blast up some goats to aid in a bit of conservation of the native forests

Those Nagants are very accurate but kick like a mule. Any idea where yours was made?
