Default why do people refuse to do their jobs correctly???

I need to vent aboutmy idiot co workers!!!

I work in "marketing" as a "marketing assistant" but I am the graphic Designer/Artist NOT because I have had any schooling BUT because I am very artistic....now my husband has his masters as a Graphic Deisgner and so I have come to know how to use the adobe suite....when I started in this position (from receptionist, I am an oil painter and I usually take jobs that allow me set regular hours so I have time to paint) I have been in my current position for almost a year now, thanks to my husband (who is a design genius!) I have become very skilled in photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign, I dont do much art for web only so fireworks, although I know how to use it, does not get touched much.

Now, they hired me into this position because I know my ****, I have tought my boss and my counter part how to and the importance of using Photoshop and Illustrator, I am in the process of getting my counter part using Indesign more.

What really chaps my hide is when I tell them DO NOT USE PHOTOSHOP FOR SAVING LOGOS!!!! and they do it anyway, I have saved my line art logos and even created copies from scratch in Illustrator and they for some reason refuse to remember to use those ones.....

When I ask them to use Indesign for large format print, presentation boards and not fireworks which saves as 72 dpi, they dont....its not rocket science and I am tired of having to redo everything....so... what the hell!?

This is exactly why I love my job! If something doesn't get done or its done wrong its because I didn't do it or I did it wrong I work alone all day everyday so I only have to worry about holding myself accountable and no one else!

Ps: Don't be sorry French is a sexy language!! And I say that with the utmost respect

NEVER teach the tools of your trade to others.

If they figure it out and do it themselves, they won't need you.

Stop trying to get them to do it right. ENJOY being the one who knows how to do it.

Unless you just don't like money or having a job.

Sometimes I love being owner of a single employee company.

Then there are the days I wanna go fishing or hunting and hate being a single employee company.

At least I know who to blame if my check isn't right.

People refuse to do their jobs correctly because they are LAZY.
