Default Year-long Vacation

Well, Uncle Sam has been gracious enough to send me on an all expenses paid vacation next week for TWELVE MONTHS!!!! Isn't that great? Too bad I can't pick the destination and Uncle Sam was kind enough to choose Baghdad for me. Where I am going I will have occasional access to the internet. SO I won't be cut from the forum competely, but for awhile until I get settled in over there I won't be online as much as I am now. Everybody wish me luck and I will be back home in Twelveo months.

I spent last year in Baghdad, things were definitely better when I left than when I first got there. Not that I was a huge part of making things better mind you. Believe it or not but I've been worse places, though I never had to worry about IDF or IED's. From what I understand from some buddies over there now it has gotten better than when I left. Be safe, good luckand save up those extra bucks!

Thanks for all the responses. Yeah, I have heard that it is safer there now than ever before. Relatively speaking. I will do everything to keep myself safe over there. When I am able to I will make sure to keep everybody updated on my life over there.
