Now you guys are gonna laugh! Gotta show the first 3!

1st was a '65 Beetle 1.2 ltr (Grey)
2nd was '66 Opel Record 4 door 2.1 ltr 4 cyl. (Green)
3rd was '69 Opel Record 2 door coupe 2.6 ltr straight 6. (White)
4th but no pic was a '74 Chevrolet 4100 - 4.1 ltr straight 6. GM rebranded the european Opel & badged them as Chevy's in South Africa. That's where I grew up. I'll see if I can dig up a pic somewhere!

Remember these were the days when most camera's were the old Brownie box things. LOL

Well, I don't know WTF happened with the search yesterday then. I purposely searched for the key words "first car" before making this thread because I thought I had seen a thread a long time ago about it. It came up with no results though. Weird...oh well. Steal my thunder Kyle . Feel free to merge this thread with that thread if you want.

No problem. That's what I do best around here! It was an oldie anyway. No need to necro-post it.

i had one of those-sorta. an '82 with the VDub 1.6L & a 4 spd. owned it for 9 months 2 days-then the trans locked up tight (welded the cluster gear & bearings into one big mess)
