01 Blazer 4x4 lowering with rims
 
Hey guys so i checked search and theres lots of info but i have a specific question here...

okay so i have a 2001 2dr 4x4 blazer and im going to be putting some 22inch 8x5 rims with a 245/30 profile tire
my question is will the belltech 3inch front and rear be fine on my blazer with these rims?>
What would my options be with those rims....
Also where can i find drop shocks for a 4x4?

As long as you get the correct back spacing you should be ok. The 22's are a little shorter than the stock tires.

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
235/75-15 6.9in 14.4in 28.9in 90.7in 698 0.0%
245/30-22 2.9in 13.9in 27.8in 87.3in 726 -3.8%

Watch out for potholes as you will only have ~3" of sidewall to cushion your rims.

Good luck finding drop shocks for a 4x4. It's fairly uncommon to drop a 4x4 just because of the amount of work involved in doing a drop (hence why you're not finding a lot of info on the forum about it). They're out there, but they're not nearly as easy to find. How low are you expecting to go?

Just 3 inches..So i was going to go with the blocks in the rear and then keys in the front but i was told not to waste money on keys in the front and just back out the torsion bolts??
i just wanted to make sure 3 inch drop will work with these rims

If you are going with blocks on the back you won't need drop shocks. Maybe check out a Sy/Ty forum and see what shocks they are running when they drop their vehicles.

I wouldnt waste money on tbar keys either. They're not needed.

Belltech also makes a drop shock for the 4x4. Stylin trucks sells them. $47 each.

the ride is not that great when you back out the tbars i did it joking around with my old blazer. it looked great i also did the blocks in the rear. like i said the ride was uncomfortable to say the least.

well rims are here just waiting to get my new wheel hibs installed first hopefully this week then putting the rims on..Im hoping i can put 3 inch blocks in the rear with these rims though...

you can re index the torsion bar in the control arm to lower it with stock keys
